Week 6 Results - Oct. 28

On Tuesday, October 28 the Romeo Middle School 8th grade football team defeated Powell Middle School 34-6. The victory gives the Bulldogs a 4-2 overall record on the year. Scoring for Romeo were: Dwight Towne (2 TD's and a 2 pt)), Joey Gardner (1 TD and a 2pt), Austin Wagner (1TD) and Lucas O'Brien (1 TD). The game was tied at halftime. Thanks to some fine defense by Cameron Gillem, Kolin Hatton, Alex McDougall, Austin Doan, Alex Antoun, Enrico Raciti, Derek Staelgrave, and Gary Wright Romeo was able to hold Powell the second half.

In the 7th grade game Powell beat Romeo 20-8. Romeo falls to 4-1-1 on the year.

Week 5 Results - Oct. 21

On Tuesday, October 21 the Romeo Middle School 8th grade football team lost to Iroquois Middle School 30 to 20. The game was decided in the last 4 minutes. With Romeo up 20-16 Iroquois scored 14 unanswered points to win the game. Scoring for the Bulldogs were: Dwight Towne (2 TD's), Cameron Gillem (1 TD) and Joey Gardner with a 2 pt conversion reception from Antonio Compo. Leading the defense were: Kolin Hatton, Joey Gardner, and Denzel Jones. Romeo falls to 3-2 on the year.

The Romeo Middle School 7th grade football team won their 4th straight game over Iroquois 44-14. The 7th grade team remains unbeaten at 4-0-1.

Week 4 Results - Oct. 14

On Tuesday, October 14 the Romeo Middle School 8th grade football team defeated the Algonquin Eagles 24-15. Scoring touchdowns for the Bulldogs were: Cameron Gillem, Antonio Compo, and Dwight Towne. Adding 2pt conversions were: Dwight Towne and Antonio Compo. The Bulldogs were also led by some outstanding defense in the second half when the Eagles had first and goal before they turned the ball over on downs and when the defense came up with a safety late in the game to seal the victory. Leading the defense were: Joey Gardner, Gary Wright, Denzel Jones, Kolin Hatton, and Alex Christofis. The Bulldogs improve to 3-1 on the year.

The 7th grade football team won 26-6 to improve to 3-0-1.

Week 3 Results - Oct. 7

The Romeo Middle School 8th grade football team beat L'Anse Creuse Central Middle School 22-8 on Tuesday, October 7. The Bulldogs were led on defense by Alex McDougall, Kolin Hatton, and Larry Rekar. Scoring were: Cameron Gillem with a touchdown and 2pt conversion, Joey Gardner with a touchdown, Denzel Jones with a touchdown, and Dwight Towne with a 2pt conversion. The Bulldogs improve to 2-1. The football team will be at home on Tuesday, October 14 against Algonquin Middle School.

The 7th grade football team also won, 26-6. They improve to 2-0-1.

Week 2 Results - Sept. 30

Results for Tuesday, September 30 against Seneca Middle School:

• The Romeo Middle School 7th grade football team won 20-14 when they scored with less than 20 seconds left in the game. Their overall record is now 1-0-1.
• The RMS 8th grade team lost 33-22. Scoring touchdowns for the Bulldogs were Alec Antoun, Alex Christofis and, with his second touchdown in two games, Cameron Gillem. The 8th grade's overall record is now 1-1.

Week 1 Results - Sept. 23

Romeo Middle School 8th grade beat L'anse Creuse East Middle School 14-6 on Tuesday, September 23. Dwight Towne scored a touchdown and a 2-pt conversion. Antonio Compo threw a touchdown pass to Cameron Gillem. The defense held at the one foot line right before half time to lead an inspired defensive effort.

The 7th grade tied 0-0.

• THERE WILL BE NO BUSSING TO OR FROM THE LAST GAME AGAINST POWELL.  ALL PLAYERS WILL NEED TO BE DROPPED OFF AT BARNABO FIELD AT THE TIME DESIGNATED BY THERE COACHES!!
• 7th Grade plays first, 8th Grade game typically begin about 1 ½ hours after the start of the 7th Grade game.
• Any time changes or location changes are made your child will be told by the coaches.
