The Romeo High School Bulldogs will host  a “Dunk a Hunk” benefit Saturday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Peach Fest Weekend, at Century 21 Collins located at 226 S. Main, Romeo.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to cancer-related charities as part of the third annual Watchdog Game, which honors cancer survivors by raising money to battle the deadly disease.

For a donation to the Watchdog Game, participants can take a turn at dunking their favorite players and coaches.

Freshman players and freshman coaches are the scheduled dunk-tank targets from 10 a.m.-noon, the junior varsity players and coaches will splash down from noon-2 p.m. and the varsity players and coaches will be in the tank from 2-5 p.m.

When Romeo takes on the Big Reds of Chippewa Valley in the third annual Watchdog Game on Sept 23, the team will be donning pink jerseys, and are encouraging fans to think and wear pink as well.

At the Dunk a Hunk event on Sept. 3, commemorative Watchdog game T-Shirts will be on sale. The $15 cost supports the cause and gets you into the Watchdog game on Sept. 23 against Chippewa Valley for free.

So, buying a T-shirt is a win-win, just like the Dunk-a-Hunk event and the Watchdog game.  So join the Bulldogs in their effort to defeat a foe far more significant than a rival football team.
